Where Zerate acts on behalf of a business customer in providing the Service, that customer may act as the controller for some data processing activities, and Zerate may act as a processor or service provider for that customer in connection with those activities.
6. Cookies and Similar Technologies
We and our service providers may use cookies, local storage, pixels, tags, SDKs, and similar technologies to operate the Service, remember preferences, understand traffic and engagement, improve performance, and support security and analytics.

- parties involved in an actual or proposed merger, acquisition, financing, restructuring, bankruptcy, or sale of assets.
We may also disclose de-identified or aggregated information that does not identify you, subject to applicable law.
8. California Privacy Notice
This section supplements the rest of this Privacy Policy and applies to California residents to the extent the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended, applies.
California residents may have rights to:
- know and access the categories and specific pieces of personal information we collected about them;
- know the categories of sources, purposes, and categories of recipients;
- correct inaccurate personal information;
- delete personal information;
- obtain information about certain disclosures;
- opt out of certain sharing or selling if applicable; and

California residents may submit privacy requests by contacting privacy@zerate.com. We may need to verify your identity and authority before completing a request. Authorized agents may submit requests on your behalf subject to verification.
Zerate does not sell personal information for money. Depending on how the Service is configured and applicable law, some analytics or advertising-related disclosures could be treated as "sharing" under California law. If Zerate engages in covered activities, we will provide any legally required notices or mechanisms.
9. Rights in Other Jurisdictions
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or port certain personal information, or to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. Requests may be submitted to privacy@zerate.com.
10. International Transfers
Zerate is based in the United States and may process personal information in the United States and other countries where we or our service providers operate. Those countries may have data protection laws different from those in your jurisdiction.
Where required by law, Zerate will use legally recognized transfer mechanisms or other safeguards for international transfers.
11. Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
12. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and Zerate does not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 through the Service. If you believe a child provided personal information in violation of applicable law, contact privacy@zerate.com.
13. Retention
We retain personal information for as long as necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, including account administration, campaign records, fraud prevention, tax and accounting requirements, legal compliance, dispute resolution, and enforcement of our agreements. Because there is not always a consistent industry standard for responding to such signals, Zerate may not respond to all such signals except where required by law. If applicable law requires honoring certain privacy preference signals, Zerate will do so as required.
15. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we may provide additional notice as appropriate. The "Last Updated" date above indicates when this Privacy Policy was last revised.
