Promotion & Sweepstakes Rules
Last Updated: March 16, 2026
Businesses conducting promotions, sweepstakes, contests, giveaways, or prize drawings through Zerate must comply with applicable laws and regulations.
1. Sponsorship
Each promotion must clearly identify the sponsor. Zerate is not the sponsor unless expressly stated in writing.
2. Required Disclosures
Promotions must include clear and conspicuous disclosures of:
- eligibility requirements, including age, residency, and any other restrictions;
- entry periods and deadlines;
- prize descriptions and approximate retail values;
- odds of winning or how winners will be determined;
- any purchase, entry, or other requirements (or no purchase necessary statement where required);
- conditions for claiming and receiving prizes;
- applicable taxes and other recipient responsibilities; and
- any other disclosures required by law.
3. Registration and Bonding
Where required by law, sponsors must register promotions, post bonds, or obtain other approvals before launching.
4. Prohibited Conduct
Promotions may not involve illegal lotteries, deceptive advertising, false urgency, hidden conditions, or any other practices prohibited by law.
5. Winner Selection and Notification
Winners must be selected and notified in compliance with the official rules. Prize fulfillment is the sponsor's responsibility.
6. Platform Role
Zerate provides software for creating and delivering promotional campaigns but does not guarantee prize fulfillment, legal compliance, or sponsor actions. Sponsors are solely responsible for all promotion elements.
7. Related Policies
These rules supplement Zerate's Terms of Service, Business Sender Agreement, and any campaign-specific official rules.
